System Dynamics Computer Simulation Modeling

  1. System Dynamics Society. This is the web site for the international System Dynamics Society. It is the primary web site for system dynamics in the world. The System Dynamics Society publishes the System Dynamics Review.

  2. Economic Dynamics Chapter of the System Dynamics Society. Here is the web site for the Economic Dynamics Chapter of the System Dynamics Society. It is very new, so it currently does not have that much information.

  3. DOE System Dynamics Tutorial. Here is a system dynamics tutorial I originally created for the United States Department of Energy. My buddy, Robert Taylor, did the web programming. It is a compressed version of the first system dynamics course I teach at WPI, with lots of energy-related examples.

  4. Vensim PLE. A free "personal learner's edition" of Vensim (Vensim PLE) is available from the the download section of the Vensim web site. This version of Vensim can be used in conjunction with Craig Kirkwood's Vensim PLE Tutorial.

  5. Powersim. Click here to download a demo version of Powersim.

  6. ithink & STELLA Software. Click here to go to the "isee" web site to download a demo version of ithink and/or STELLA.

  7. MapSys. Check out this new system dynamics software package called MapSys. MapSys is the creation of WPI SD Ph.D. student Zahed Sheikholeslami.

  8. Ossimitz System Dynamics Mega-List. Here is G. Ossimitz's enormous collection of resources on system dynamics modeling.
